Air Fryer Chicken Tenders – Crispy & Juicy
Golden, crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside — these Air Fryer Chicken Tenders are everything you love about comfort food made healthier! With minimal oil and maximum flavor, they’re perfect for weeknight dinners, kids’ lunches, or guilt-free snacking.
- 1 lb 450 g chicken tenders or boneless chicken breasts cut into strips
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs panko or regular
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Olive oil spray
- Optional: honey mustard or BBQ dipping sauce
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs mixed with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Coat each chicken strip: dip in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs until fully coated.
Arrange in the basket in a single layer. Lightly spray with olive oil.
Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Serve hot with your favorite dip!
Add a pinch of cayenne for spicy tenders.
For gluten-free, use almond flour and gluten-free breadcrumbs.
Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the air fryer for 3 minutes.
